Pippa Britton
Pippa Britton, a double Paralympian, competed for 15 years on the GB archery team and more than 20 times for the Welsh able-bodied squad. She placed on the podium at 6 straight World Championships, 24 international competitions, and set 11 world records in the process.
She represented archers from all over the globe as the first para-archery athlete committee member at World Archery while she was participating, and after retiring from competition, she was motivated by this to transition into governance.
She is on the Board of the British Paralympic Association and is now the Vice Chair of Sport Wales, Aneurin Bevan UHB, and both organisations.
She has held a number of volunteer positions, including those of Chair of Disability Sport Wales, Board Member of Archery GB, Chair of the Wheelchair Advisory Group at International Rugby League, and Member of the International Paralympic Committee Anti Doping Committee.
She previously served as Vice Chair of UK Anti-Doping and served as the organization’s Audit and Risk Committee Chair.
Currently, she serves as a trustee for UWC Atlantic College.
She contributes to her passion of enhancing equality and inclusion by drawing on her personal and professional experience, always keeping wellbeing and justice at the forefront.

The Commissioner for Public Appointments oversees the appointment procedure.
Any major political activity that an appointee has engaged in during the last five years must be disclosed in accordance with the Code.
This is outlined as including holding office, speaking in front of an audience, making a recordable donation, and running for office. Pippa Britton has stated she will be inactive.
