On Saturday night in Milwaukee, a bomb threat forced Patti LaBelle to leave the stage in the middle of her performance.
Two guys rushed onto the platform at the Riverside Theater and snatched the microphone away from LaBelle while she was addressing to the audience while holding a bouquet of flowers.
“Hold up. Wait!” As one of the men pulls LaBelle by the arm and compels her to drop the bouquet, she sobs. Another man in black dashes onto the stage from the right side and grabs LaBelle’s free arm.
As the men accompany LaBelle offstage and the musicians quit their posts to pursue the Godmother of Soul, the audience’s laughter swiftly transforms into puzzled coos.
According to a police statement supplied by a reporter from the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, authorities evacuated the theater and are investigating the threat.
Another video captured outside the theater shows spectators waiting for an update on the situation on the street.
“We do not know if we are allowed to re-enter the venue,” the woman filming remarked. “It is up to the Riverside Theater whether we can return inside, but at this time everything has come to a halt.”
