A medical student from Swansea named James Dudley, 30, incurred a £1,400 hospital bill after breaking his nose on a waterslide at Aqualand Costa Adeje in Tenerife.

James had already gone down the Twister slide twice that morning, but on his third attempt, he gained too much speed and hit his face on some stone steps.

Although James’s insurers covered his medical expenses, he is seeking compensation from the waterpark.

Aqualand has only offered a ticket refund, which James feels is insufficient to compensate for what happened.

He wants Aqualand to take responsibility for the accident and pay compensation.

James said that he is inclined to take legal action if necessary.

Aqualand and its owners, Aspro Parks, have not yet commented on the matter.

Conclusion

This incident serves as a reminder of the potential dangers of waterslides and the importance of following safety guidelines.

While accidents can happen, it’s crucial for waterparks and other organizations to take responsibility for their actions and provide appropriate compensation when necessary.
