On Wednesday, Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde received a visit from Nigerian musician B-Red, who happens to be the cousin of afrobeat star Davido.
B-Red is the son of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is also a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) like Governor Makinde.
The purpose of the visit was not immediately clear, but Governor Makinde shared photos of the meeting on social media, expressing his pleasure at receiving B-Red and his team.
B-Red Expresses Support for Oyo State’s Plans
B-Red also took to his Instagram account to share photos from the visit and express his satisfaction with the plans being made for the people of Oyo State by Governor Seyi Makinde.
The musician highlighted his happiness to be aware of the great initiatives in place for the state’s residents.

During a recent appearance on the Echoo Room podcast hosted by Quincy Jonze, B-Red made an interesting revelation.
He claimed that he was the one who encouraged and pushed his cousin, Davido, to pursue a career in music.
B-Red stated that he recognized Davido’s talent and advised him to enter the music industry, which eventually led to Davido’s success as a prominent artist.
