Teenage motorist who posted a selfie next to his flipping vehicle on a major mountain route has been called a “moron” by enraged residents.

Around 10 a.m. on Monday, when the driver descended Clyde Mountain on the Kings Highway between Canberra and Batemans Bay—about 300 kilometers south of Sydney—he overturned his Ford Mustang.

To caution motorists approaching the hairpin curve on the mountain near Pooh Bear Corner, a resident posted a picture of the collision to the neighborhood’s Facebook page.

The driver’s apparent lack of regret for the potentially hazardous collision on a major highway enraged the neighborhood.

One commenter said, “That’s what happens when people are given a license without a driving test.”

Another person said, “Wouldn’t be snapping pictures with thumbs up if someone was really hurt or died.”

“What a fool!” Another person said, “If I were there with the emergency services, I would smack that phone out of his hand.”

‘Wow… You’re simply too dumb,’ a different person remarked.

Other comments referred to the driver as a “wanker” and a “loser” and claimed that because there was no evidence of rain on the road, he must have been driving too fast.

No one was hurt in the collision, according to NSW Police, and no charges were filed against the driver.
