Orlando Pirates legend, Happy Jele confirms dramatic exit out of the club.

After this, Orlando Pirates management and supporters can become emotional.

Happy Jele, the Sea Robbers’ former captain, has acknowledged a somewhat dramatic departure from the team.

JELE, AN ORLANDO PIRATES LEGEND, NEVER SAID THE RIGHT GOODBYES

We all believed the 35-year-old Jele was comfortable in his position working for the club as an official in some form after an incredible 16 years at Bucs.

We were all startled when the Middelburg-born player’s departure was revealed by the Soweto giants more than a week ago.

Since then, the athlete has been in public to talk about his departure, and it is evident that he is disappointed.

When asked if he had the chance to bid his teammates and club personnel farewell, as is customary at training grounds throughout the world, Jele responded that he did not.

Before the WhatsApp app notified the team that Jele had left the group, he instead sent his farewell message through the club.

On our phones, we’ve all seen those; they’re quite dramatic.

Jele stated on the most recent edition of Soccer Laduma’s Tumi Gabonamong, “No, I didn’t even attend to training.”

“I just departed and said the group on WhatsApp farewell, then I exited the group.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have a chance to meet the new coach, Jele stated.

MISSED CHANCE TO SAY RIGHTEOUS GOODBYE

The former Walter Star defender went on to say that he had hoped to get at Rand Stadium in time to bid his teammates and the club personnel farewell.

The team and crew were, regrettably, not in the City of Gold.

They weren’t in the Johannesburg area, so I had intended to attend to training and say farewell to everyone, Jele continued.

They’re gone at preseason camp, so I’m obviously unable to attend.

The player known as “Magents” said, “The correct thing would have certainly been to bid them farewell at training and wish them success in person, but they are away right now.”

Before putting up his football boots, the former Buccaneers captain is committed to finding a new team to play for.
