Orlando Pirates attacker reportedly searching for the exit

Orlando Pirates striker Kwame Peprah is reportedly seeking his way out of the club due to a lack of game time he foresees this season.

The Ghanaian forward joined the Soweto giants at the start of the previous season from King Faisal and became a regular under the leadership of co-coaches Mandla Ncikazi and Fadlu Davids.

The 21-year-old featured in 38 games and found the back of the net on nine occasions.

However, according to Phakaaathi, Peprah has requested to leave as he feels that things won’t be the same as last season with Jose Riveiro preferring Bienvenu Eva Nga and Zakhele Lepasa as strikers.

PIRATES’ PEPRAH SEEKS EXIT DOOR

“Orlando Pirates striker Kwame Peprah is said to have asked the club to allow him to move elsewhere as he feels he is not going to get much game time this season,” Phakaaathi reported.

“It is the World Cup year and he had hoped that he might get a chance to be considered for the Ghana national team if he continued his performances from last season,” Phakaaathi‘s source said.

“That is why he was initially uncomfortable with making a move now. He wanted to be at a place where he is comfortable and performing.

“But now he has realised that the system the new coach uses is not favourable to him and he might not get as much game time as he would love to. That is why he now wants to go elsewhere.”
