A motorcycle struck and killed an eight-year-old child as he and his family were traveling to a mosque to worship.
The little kid, known locally as Mustafa Mohammed Ahmed, is believed to have been struck while crossing the street with his family to go to the Greenwich Islamic Center.
Although his elder brother Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed, 10, is also in the hospital after the crash, his father Mohammed Mow Ahmed is reportedly in serious condition.
The motorbike’s rider has also been admitted to the hospital.
Around five minutes after the motorcycle struck the family, a family friend named Mustafa Zachariah came on the scene.

The bike was allegedly traveling at a fast pace. Everyone adored him because he was such a happy youngster, he told the Mirror.
As Mr. Zachariah spoke of Mustafa’s passion for football, he was fighting back tears.
The family, who are originally from Somalia, resides in the Thamesmead neighborhood and Mustafa’s father drives buses.
The mosque’s head of governance explained to the Mirror how the small children were struck by the bike while it was moving at a high rate of speed, and how they shot “two or three feet into the sky.”
