Officer seizes loaded pistol from high school fight participant

During an altercation at Lincoln High School on Monday, a loaded pistol was discovered and seized from a student, according to CBS Sacramento.

According to the Stockton police, officers responded to the school about 12:30 p.m.

Police in Stockton said a student at some point drew a loaded revolver during the brawl, but it is unclear what precipitated it.

Also unknown was whether the school filed charges or took disciplinary action against the youngster.

After a short fight, a school resource officer was able to disarm the youngster, according to authorities. The event resulted in minor injuries to two pupils.

Officers said they detained a 17-year-old male on suspicion of assault, resisting arrest, making criminal threats, and possession of a weapon.
