Wednesday, police reported that a 62-year-old man was slain during a confrontation with his neighbor inside his Bronx apartment.
The deceased was discovered dead with head trauma at his house on West 169th Street near Plimpton Avenue in Highbridge shortly after 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday, according to police.
According to authorities, his 51-year-old neighbor Angelo Miranda was apprehended nearby and charged with murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a loaded firearm.
Miranda resides in the building, but in a different apartment than the victim, whose name was withheld until notification of his or her relatives.
According to authorities, the deadly assault was precipitated by an altercation between the two men. Uncertainty surrounded the nature of the conflict and the manner in which the victim was assaulted.
