The New York Yankees had an eventful day during their spring training on Sunday. One of the highlights was Oswaldo Cabrera’s impressive performance.

He hit a home run for the second consecutive day, this time off Braves right-hander Charlie Morton.

The hit was a no-doubter, showcasing Cabrera’s strong skills at the plate.

However, not all players had a successful day. Giancarlo Stanton and Aaron Boone had agreed to have the slugger make the long trip to North Port, Fla., but Stanton struggled during the game, going 0-for-3 with three strikeouts.

On the other hand, Jasson Dominguez caught the attention of many with his impressive performance. He delivered a go-ahead, three-run home run in the ninth inning, marking his second spring home run. Dominguez is an outfield prospect who has been batting .417 with a 1.417 OPS across six games.

He credited his success to seeing the ball better, better counts and playing looser.

Looking ahead, the Yankees have another game scheduled for Monday. Domingo German is set to make his second start of the spring against the Pirates in a 6:35 p.m. game at Steinbrenner Field.

Overall, the Yankees had a mix of ups and downs during their spring training on Sunday, with some players flexing their muscles while others struggled.
