Melbourne CBD fights: Two stabbings leave one man dead and two others fighting for life

Two separate stabbings overnight in Melbourne’s central business district left one man dead and two others fighting for their lives.

Sunday around 5:45 a.m., emergency personnel were dispatched to Bourke Street in response to complaints of an attack.

Two guys with stab wounds were discovered and taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Later, one of the males, who has not yet been properly recognized, passed away in the hospital.

The second individual remains hospitalized.

Detectives from the Homicide Squad have initiated an investigation, although the full circumstances surrounding the incident are unknown at this time.

To yet, no arrests have been made.

A crime scene has been formed, and the section of Bourke Street between Elizabeth Street and Queen Street remains closed.

In a separate incident 300 meters away, two men were sent to the hospital when a scuffle erupted outside the Inflation nightclub early on Sunday morning.

The guys were discovered injured at 1:25 a.m. following a violent altercation at the intersection of Flinders Lane and King Street, according to the police.

Both a 19-year-old man with life-threatening injuries and an unidentified man with life-threatening injuries have been sent to the hospital.

A crime scene has been established and the area has been sealed off as detectives investigate.

Additionally, officers from the Major Crime Scene Unit will be there.

Photos taken at the site depict blood splatters on a vehicle parked in front of the nightclub.
