Massive search is launched for missing businessman Harish Palagummi

A massive search has been launched for missing businessman Harish Palagummi, 43, who disappeared on Tuesday from Christison Park in Vaucluse, Sydney’s eastern suburbs.

He hasn’t been seen since. The location is close to the notorious clifftop suicide spot where conwoman Melissa Caddick was last seen.

Her foot washed ashore at a remote beach near Tathra on the NSW south coast three months later in February 2021.

Mr Palagummi, a venture capitalist and CEO of online grocer Geezy Global, left his office in Sydney’s CBD around 3pm.

Later, his car was found parked at the coastline park perched on sheer cliffs which plunge down to huge waves crashing on the rocks below.

He last spoke to a family member about 7.30pm on Tuesday before disappearing.

Police and family have concerns for his welfare. He is described as being of Indian sub-continental appearance, about 182cm tall, slim build, with short black hair and a thin beard.

He is believed to be wearing a pair of blue jeans and a business shirt and has been known to frequent the Linfield and Vaucluse areas.
