Kentucky police arrests a middle school principal for domestic violence

According to local reports, a Kentucky middle school principal was arrested on his first day of work.
Leroy Littles Sr., aged 44, had just started work as the principal at Olmsted Academy North in Louisville.
A “Welcome, Principal Littles” sign was placed in front of the school to greet him.

However, Littles was taken into custody for a domestic violence incident that occurred on December 25, 2022.

He was served an arrest warrant at the school for fourth-degree assault and third-degree terroristic threatening.

A police report revealed that Littles had arrived at his girlfriend’s home, where she was seen leaving with an ex-boyfriend.

As Littles began arguing with her, he allegedly assaulted the former boyfriend, who suffered injuries to his face and head. Littles had fled the scene by the time Hillview police officers arrived.

The victim reportedly had a video of the alleged assault and submitted it to the Bullitt County Attorney’s Office days after.

The Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) district sent a letter to parents about the arrest, stating that the charges were unrelated to JCPS. The district also placed an assistant principal in charge of the school.

Littles had worked for the district for 16 years, most recently as a principal intern at Waggener High School earlier this school year.
