MAN HIT BY A VEHICLE WHO FLED THE SCENE IN KZN

On January 20, 2023, emergency services reacted to reports of a pedestrian being hit by a vehicle near Verulam on the R102.

When paramedics arrived, they located a man who had been struck by a car that had fled the scene.

Despite the involvement of IPSS Advanced Life Support paramedics, the man tragically died from severe injuries.

The body was given over to the South African Police Service, who will undertake an investigation.
