ANC KZN warns about an imposter pretending to be new KZN chairperson Siboniso Duma

The KwaZulu-Natal ANC has denounced a phony Facebook page that has been spreading on social media, claiming to belong to Siboniso Duma, the newly elected Provincial Chairperson.

According to the party’s Bheki Mtolo, “We also state it on record that our ANC Provincial Chairperson does not have a social media page or account, and as a result, the material included in that account is false, deceptive, and devoid of any truth.”

He continued, “The unapproved construction of a Facebook account under the name of Cde Duma is malevolent and is just another questionable conduct by the unscrupulous parts of society to confuse the society.

The ANC also strongly cautioned the public not to fall for such ill-will. The public is further advised to refrain from entertaining any communication or exchange from any suspicious accounts.

“The deceptive account keeps resurfacing in the public domain and misleading many innocent and vulnerable South Africans. Finally, we wish to caution those responsible for spreading fake news to refrain from such negative deeds and unpatriotic tendencies,”
