Man Shot Dead, Vehicle Recovered in R102 Verulam – KZN

Today, a black Chevrolet Aveo allegedly belonged to a guy who was shot and killed in Thembisa, Gauteng, was found on the R102 in Verulam, KZN (Monday).

A passing driver called Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) to report seeing an abandoned car in the thick vegetation dividing the north and south bound lanes.

Reaction Officers arrived and found the keys in the ignition.

Both the radio and the batteries were gone.

The car also included the owner’s identity card and a pay stub with his employers’ information.

A registration check confirmed that the vehicle was sought after.

Officers made contact with the construction company in Pretoria Gardens in Pretoria.

According to his colleagues, they received information this morning that he was shot dead over the weekend.

They were unable to provide any further details.

The vehicle was handed over to the Verulam SAPS for further investigation.
