Malesela Teffo alleges that President Ramaphosa is involved in alleged harassment of Senzo Meyiwa trial

Advocate Malesela Teffo, a former Senzo Meyiwa trial lawyer, claimed that President Cyril Ramaphosa was involved in alleged harassment of the advocate for his involvement in the trial.

The Presidency has categorically disputed her claims.

The Presidency has taken note of the baseless allegations made by Advocate Malesela Teffo that the Presidency is responsible for his purported intimidation and consequent decision to resign from the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, and it vehemently refutes them.

According to a statement released by the Presidency on Wednesday, “The Presidency deems these unsubstantiated and spurious charges mischievous and damaging to the status of the office of the President.”

The Presidency claimed that it is “not involved in any perceived or actual harassment of” Teffo and “does not participate in criminal investigations or trials.”

“Advocate Teffo must understand the level of veracity required to support such assertions about any organization or person as an Officer of the Court and a member of the legal profession.

The Presidency declared that it “adopts the principles of our Constitution and appreciates the protection, safety, and justice for all.”

Teffo informed the court in court on Tuesday that he was dropping the lawsuit due to “abuse” he was experiencing from the State, the court, and reportedly the “highest office in the land.

“That was the plan, and the plan was conceived in [President Ramaphosa’s] office on the 28th of April when I was arrested…

Teffo stated on Tuesday that my client should be held accountable for Senzo Meyiwa’s murder even though they were innocent.

“They claim that I am a difficult lawyer, I am interfering with the strategy that has been conceived, and that I am a problematic witness.
