On Wednesday, the court received the infamous second docket in the Senzo Meyiwa murder trial, effectively halting the proceedings.

The docket, which names Kelly Khumalo and her mother as key suspects in the footballer’s murder, has created quite a commotion. Magdalene Moonsamy, Khumalo’s lawyer, claims that neither of them has been given access to the second docket.

Moonsamy told the reporters that Kelly Khumalo had never been questioned about what is in the second docket.

The second docket was allegedly only known to Malesela Teffo, an attorney. Malesela, who represents four of the five individuals charged with the footballer’s death, said that the second docket was made public before the trial began.

Adv. Teffo and Adv. Zandile Moshololo confirmed earlier this week that the crime scene had been altered with before police arrived.

The two dockets, according to Adv. Teffo, present distinct cases for the same crime. According to the one now before the court, the five guys are to blame for Meyiwa’s death.

The inhabitants of the residence, Kelly Khumalo and her mother, are named as key suspects in the second.

Currently, the docket has not been submitted to the prosecution and was only supplied to Adv Moshololo on Wednesday, who is representing one of the accused.

She asked for more time to go over the docket so she could finish cross-examining the state’s first witness, Sergeant Thabo Mosia.

The matter will be heard again on Monday, June 13th.
