According to local news reports, at least eight people were wounded in a shooting at a hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.

Tuesday at around 12:47 a.m., officers arrived at the scene of a gunshot outside the door to the emergency department at Methodist North Hospital.

ABC24 reported that police verified at least eight persons were shot during the incident. Local media stated that a silver automobile had stopped in the median at the junction of Austin Peay Parkway and Walter K. Singleton Parkway.

The vehicle’s side was riddled with at least 20 gunshot holes, according to the report.

The hospital and surrounding areas are reportedly under lockdown.
