Leslie Jordan, 67, dies when his automobile slammed into a structure

The LA Times reports that actor and comedian Leslie Jordan passed away after an automobile accident on Monday morning.

At 9:30 a.m., the LA Times claimed that the “Will and Grace” star seemed to ram his vehicle into the side of a building on Cahuenga Boulevard and Romaine Street in Hollywood.

On the spot, Jordan was determined to be dead.

Age-wise, he was 67.

Without Leslie Jordan’s love and light, the world is undoubtedly a lot darker place today, according to a statement sent to Insider by Jordan’s agent. In addition to being a huge talent and a pleasure to work with, he gave the country an emotional haven through one of its most trying moments.

The statement went on to say: “His kindness and excellence as a son, brother, artist, comic, lover, and human being more than made up for his little stature. The only comfort one can find now is in the knowledge that he departed the world at the pinnacle of both his professional and personal lives.”

According to the LA Times, it is unclear if Jordan’s death resulted from the vehicle accident or from a medical issue that occurred soon before it. Jordan looks to have lost control of the automobile before crashing, based on the state of the car.

Although unable to confirm the driver’s name, a spokeswoman for the Los Angeles Police Department verified the incident’s specifics to Insider.

Jordan is most recognized for his work on “Will and Grace” and “American Horror Story,” for which he received an Emmy nomination in 2006.
