Finally, the Lakers are making roster adjustments.
Multiple reports indicate that the Clippers will send guard Kendrick Nunn and three second-round choices to the Wizards in exchange for forward Rui Hachimura.
Wes Unseld, the head coach of the Wizards, stated that 24-year-old Hachimura missed Monday’s practice for personal reasons. Reportedly, both parties were unable to agree on a rookie contract extension.
This season, Hachimura has averaged 13 points on 48.8% shooting, 4.3 rebounds, and 1.2 assists in 24.3 minutes per game.
Saturday night, after scoring 30 points in a victory over the Magic, Hachimura stated, “I just have to stay in the moment.” “I am aware of everything occurring right now. I just have to play the games and be myself… Just now, I get to play my game. I understand my capabilities and can contribute to the team’s victory. It’s either this team or another. I can assist groups.”
The Wizards selected the Gonzaga graduate ninth overall in the 2019 NBA Draft.
