Giannis Antetokounmpo helped the Bucks to win against the Wizards

Milwaukee Bucks player Giannis Antetokounmpo is being accused of stat-padding during their game against the Washington Wizards on Sunday.

In the final seconds of the game, Antetokounmpo appeared to deliberately miss a shot to grab his own rebound and complete a triple-double.

This move has earned him criticism on social media, with some calling it the “greatest statpad of all time.”

Antetokounmpo is currently tied as the second-favorite with Joel Embiid in the MVP race, with Nikola Jokic as the heavy favorite.

Jokic has the most triple-doubles in the NBA this season with 25, while Antetokounmpo only has four, even after the alleged bonus one on Sunday.

Despite the criticism, Antetokounmpo defended his move, stating that he was trying to play the game smart and “kind of stole one.”

While Jokic seems to have a strong lead in the MVP race, Antetokounmpo’s move shows his drive to boost his stat profile as one of the league’s premier stars.
