In a visit to Sandhurst, King Charles inspected the 200th Sovereign’s Parade where he reviewed the 171 officer cadets who underwent 44 weeks of training at the prestigious military academy.

This includes 26 international cadets from 15 different countries. Later on, he presented the awards to the winners, which included the Sword of Honour.

This visit occurred as preparations for his upcoming Coronation are ongoing.

Reports indicate that the King is hopeful that the Coronation will be an opportunity to repair the family’s divisions, including with Prince Andrew.

Prince Harry, who is visiting the UK, will be staying at Frogmore Cottage, while King Charles is set to be crowned at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

However, William has no plans to speak to Harry after the allegations made in his Netflix documentary and his attacks on him, his wife, and father in Spare.

Harry has no formal role in the Coronation and is likely to receive the cold shoulder from his family, except perhaps from Beatrice and Eugenie.

Despite reports of a ‘gulf’ between the once-close brothers, Charles hopes that the Coronation will bring them closer and that it will provide a chance to reconcile with Prince Andrew, who has been isolated from the family since the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.

However, his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, will not be invited and will watch the ceremony from home.

Reports indicate that Harry was preoccupied with the seating plan for the event, causing him to delay his response to the invitation.

Sources close to the planning of King Charles’ Coronation have confirmed that Meghan Markle will not attend the ceremony.

Prince Harry reportedly went through weeks of negotiations with Buckingham Palace over the event, including concerns about security and the reception from his family.

It was confirmed yesterday that Harry will attend the ceremony, but Meghan will remain in California.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been placed in an awkward position by the Royal Family, with reports indicating that Meghan was “never likely” to attend the Coronation.

The Royal Family has no appetite or time at this stage to think about reconciliation.

There had been hopes that the Coronation could provide an opportunity for reconciliation, but members of the Royal Family are understood not to have an appetite for it at the moment.

The Sussexes’ rift with the Royal Family has grown since their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, where they made a series of allegations about the Royal Family.

Their Netflix series and Harry’s memoir have also caused more tension.

Although Harry will attend the Coronation, Meghan’s focus is on their life in the US, and she has no intention of returning to the UK soon.

Friends of the Sussexes have said that attending the Coronation will be Harry’s only engagement during a ‘fairly quick trip.’

Reports suggest that Meghan was put in an ‘impossible situation’ by the Royal Family, leading to her decision not to attend.

It was also revealed that Sarah Ferguson did not receive an invite to the Coronation, although her disgraced ex-husband, Prince Andrew, and their daughters Beatrice and Eugenie will attend.
