Kim Kardashian’s new podcast is currently the most popular on Spotify.
“Kim Kardashian’s The System: The Case of Kevin Keith” premiered on October 3 with two episodes and has proven to be so popular that it has surpassed the popularity of Meghan, Duchess of Sussex’s “Archetypes” and “The Joe Rogan Experience”.
The first season of the true crime podcast examines a triple homicide, and Kardashian’s goal with the podcast is to reveal the “other side” of cases, which are typically unheard.
In a recent interview, the founder of SKIMS stated, “I believe storytelling is essential. People will feel more at ease and gain a better understanding of a person’s background if they hear personal narratives that go beyond a rap sheet.
Typically, you do not hear the other viewpoint. Typically, hearing triple homicide causes fear, especially if the perpetrator is convicted. No one will investigate (that person’s case) sufficiently to realize, “Well, there was no physical evidence connecting him (to the crime).”
Regarding the outcome she desires for Keith, who has been sentenced to death, she stated, “The ultimate objective would be for the governor to commute Kevin’s sentence.
“However, I also believe that an investigation must be conducted to determine who committed this crime and put that individual behind prison. And I have a theory (about who this individual is)”
In recent years, the 41-year-old celebrity has been lauded for her efforts to reform the criminal justice system, and she is committed to assist as many people as possible.
When asked how she began her campaign, she responded, “I saw something on social media that I didn’t believe to be fair, and I didn’t understand it.
“A woman who had never committed a violent act or even a ticket in her life answered the phone for a drug case as a mules and received the same punishment as Charles Manson.
“When I saw that, I thought, ‘I don’t understand. How did this come about? Did she require a better lawyer?’ I was truly ignorant, so I schooled myself on the topic.
“I figured, ‘Okay, I can manage (pardoning) little drug offenses; I can relate to that.’”
“However, I didn’t realize I could support murder until I was transported to a women’s prison. Their tales were remarkably similar. All of them committed a crime for their partner or husband.
“I mean, I’ve certainly done some stupid things in the past, and I was probably just a few decisions away from being in a similar circumstance, as could any of us.
“Once I realized how flawed the system is, I was unable to stop. I must assist as many individuals as possible. These individuals are discarded and imprisoned without anyone caring. It’s such a tragedy.”
