Kaizer Chiefs to finalize SWOP agreement with competitors?

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Phathutshedzo Nange has been linked with a surprise move away from the club!

According to reports, Gavin Hunt who was key in Nange’s move to Naturena after working with him at Bidvest Wits, is keen on reuniting with him at SuperSport United.

According to insiders, Hunt has asked SuperSport United officials to begin negotiations with the Amakhosi.

A potential deal at this point will likely involve a ‘player swop’ according to reports.

SuperSport United begin crunch talks with Kaizer Chiefs?

According to Citizen, Gavin Hunt ‘asked SuperSport officials to speak to Kaizer Chiefs about Nange.’

“He (Gavin Hunt) wanted Sibongiseni Mthethwa from Stellenbosch but the asking price there was too high and he has since turned his interest to Nange.” the publication added.

“I don’t see this transfer happening unless they can make an exchange of some sort. But strange things have happened in football and I would not be surprised if Nange ends up at SuperSport.”

Nange has fallen out of favour under Arthur Zwane with Siyethemba Sithebe, Yusuf Maart, George Matlou and Njabulo Blom above him in the midfield pecking order.

His lack of game-time, coupled with the prospect of joining his favourite coach may very well see him leave Naturena!

The 30-year-old midfielder is valued at approximately R7.5 million according to Transfermarkt.

He made 28 appearances since joining the club from Stellenbosch, scoring two goals in the process.

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane has FIRED a warning at teams visiting the FNB Stadium.

The Glamour Boys picked up a crucial victory over rivals SuperSport United last weekend.

Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana’s brace earned Zwane’s side a win over former manager Gavin Hunt.

The message from Arthur Zwane towards teams visiting the FNB Stadium was clear.

‘10111’ has warned visiting sides that coming to the Calabash means ‘donating points’ to Kaizer Chiefs.

Amakhosi coach warns visiting teams!

“We have to make sure that people understand that when they come to FNB, they come to Kaizer Chiefs, and they are coming here to drop points or to donate points.” Zwane said as quoted by FarPost.

“And that’s where we should start. We are not going to fix everything at once but will take things one step at a time.”

“We want to win every game that we play. The SuperSport was not a must-win game for us. Every game is a must-win, not only this one.

“Look, we have to build on something, we are a work in process. And in order for us to get things right we have to do one thing right. Yes we are not going to win all the games.”
