Kaizer Chiefs congratulate Executive Chairman and Founder Kaizer Motaung as he is honoured by UCT

At a graduation ceremony today in the Mother City, the University of Cape Town (UCT) honoured Kaizer Motaung, the founder and executive chairman of Kaizer Chiefs.

The Chiefs Chairman, who was present at the ceremony with his family, received the honorary degree of Doctor of Social Science Honoris Causa from the prestigious university, one of the top tertiary institutions in the world.

The Kaizer Chiefs owner was recognised by the University of Cape Town for his support of both soccer and social progress in the nation.

The Chairman has received a prestigious title, and Kaizer Chiefs would like to congratulate him on it as well as recognise his dedication to advancing football in South Africa and supporting marginalised and underprivileged players over the past 50 years.

The Chairman has also played a key role in transforming Kaizer Chiefs into a well-known international football team and brand.

The Chiefs Chairman is now known as Doctor Kaizer Motaung thanks to the PhD that UCT has awarded him.
