Kaizer Chiefs Chairman is recognised by Uct

Talk about excited pride. A new display name for Kaizer Chiefs has been added on Twitter as a result of the club chairman’s academic achievement last weekend.

Kaizer Motaung is now recognised as Dr. Motaung after being awarded a doctorate by the University of Cape Town on Saturday, as The South African website reported.

It was unexpected what Amakhosi did next on Twitter.

Following the occasion and festivities at UCT, the club’s social media team updated the display name, which had previously been simply “Kaizer Chiefs,” on Twitter.

The updated name is now “Dr. Kaizer Chiefs” – Look at the picture below.

How long the new Twitter display name will be used is unknown. On Facebook and Instagram, the club did not make the same modification.

On Saturday, August 6, at 17:30 p.m., the new season will begin with an away game against Royal AM in KwaZulu Natal.
