Justin Bieber cancels SA shows due to illness

Just weeks prior to Justin Bieber’s much anticipated arrival to South Africa as part of his Justice World Tour, Big Concerts and AEG Presents have canceled the Canadian pop star’s local concerts.

Bieber was scheduled to perform on September 28 at DHL Stadium in Cape Town and on October 1 at FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. The Justice World Tour is named after his most recent platinum-selling album, “Justice.”

Big Concerts and AEG Presents regret to confirm that the South African dates of Justin Bieber’s Justice World Tour have been canceled, according to a statement provided to IOL Entertainment.

“All fans who purchased tickets through Ticketmaster will receive a full refund, and Ticketmaster will contact them personally. Fans need not take any action… We hope to see Justin back in South Africa in the future and wish him a speedy recovery.

Bieber was scheduled to tour five continents until March of the following year, performing in over 20 countries and on more than 90 dates.

“We’ve worked tirelessly to create the best show we’ve ever produced, and we can’t wait to share it with fans around the globe. Earlier in the year, Bieber announced, “I’ll see you soon.”

It is unknown if and when he will continue the tour.

Bieber went public with his battle with Ramsay Hunt syndrome earlier this year after posting a video of his mostly paralyzed face. He was recently unable to complete the North America leg of the Justice Tour due to his illness.

Today, September 14, is the fourth anniversary of his marriage to Hailey Bieber.

He used Instagram to wish her well.

“Happy anniversary to my closest friend and wife @haileybieber… thank you for making me a better person in every aspect.”
