Today, The View witnessed a new side of Joy Behar. As the panel examined a bizarre new innovation that resembles a human muzzle (don’t ask), Behar related her own experience with undesirable noises in her home, which she claimed was exacerbated by her, hmm, changed mental state.

Behar began by describing a moment when her grandson was visiting her and she was watching Law & Order, which has a very distinct and loud score.

“My grandson lived in my home and was across the hall; he would come in and ask, ‘Nana, could you just turn it down?’ Because he would head ‘bum-bum’ every few minutes as I was watching Law & Order. Behar said, “Bum-BUM, bum-BUM!” before launching into another story that completely sidetracked the discourse.

“Remember the time I ate a CBD gummy while watching a play and reading a book, and I asked, ‘Why are they so loud?’ “They are so terrible,” stated Behar. “My friend Suzy asked, are you high or what? I was.”

Joy is a believer in CBD gummies, as observed by Sunny Hostin, and the co-host concurred, stating, “I adore CBD gummies.”

Whoopi Goldberg addressed the panel to set the record straight, stating, “I’m not even going to tell you about CBD. Nothing exists in CBD.”

“Why was everything then so loud?” Behar asked.

As Behar protested, Goldberg replied, “Because you were annoyed,” as Hostin asked Behar, “Are you certain it wasn’t a THC gummy?”

“No, it’s not a THC gummy,” Goldberg replied, as Behar jokingly recited various letters to construct new acronyms.

Goldberg, an unofficial THC specialist, explained to her, “It won’t work without a pinch of THC,” which is the psychoactive component of cannabis that can affect a person’s state of mind. CBD, which is derived from hemp, does not provide the same psychoactive effects as THC.

Behar responded, “I didn’t want to say that I had THC,” waving to the audience, but Goldberg scoffed, telling her that viewers had read between the lines: “They figured you were high!”

ABC airs The View weekdays at 11pm/10c.
