During a discussion on “The View” about the toxic train derailment in East Palestine, Ohio, Joy Behar suggested that residents who voted for Donald Trump have themselves to blame for the disaster.
Behar stated that Trump had placed someone with ties to the chemical industry in charge of the EPA’s chemical safety office and reduced safety overall, and then turned to the camera and pointed a finger at viewers, indicating that they were responsible for voting for Trump in that district.
The comment was met with gasps from the audience, but Sunny Hostin added that the derailment was also Trump’s fault just before the show went to a commercial break.
Trump had visited the area the day before, handing out “Trump Water” and McDonald’s while criticizing President Biden for not doing the same.
