Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) 2022 Cut-off Marks to be Decided

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has set JULY 21 as the date for the 2022 admission policy meeting, which will kick-start the country’s university admissions process.

All heads of tertiary institutions are expected to attend the Policy Meeting, which will be led by the Hon. Minister of Education.

This (policy) meeting will address critical issues raised by the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board’s presentation on the recently completed Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry applications, as well as setting the tone for the 2022/2023 admission process.

The meeting is expected to chart policy directions for the nation’s tertiary institutions, set admission guidelines, present application statistics, and candidates’ performance, as well as evaluate the 2021 admission exercise.

The meeting, in addition to other deliberations, would take a stand on acceptable minimum admissions standards to be applied in all admissions to be undertaken by all tertiary institutions in Nigeria.”

Last year, the meeting granted institutions the power to set their minimum cut-off marks for admission
