During Wednesday night’s episode of Jeopardy!, a contestant named Dan Oxman admitted that host Mayim Bialik was his childhood crush. Bialik, known for her roles on The Big Bang Theory and Call Me Kat, sparked the conversation while introducing Oxman, who was competing in the High School Reunion Tournament.
Bialik asked Oxman about his childhood crush, to which he clarified that it was her, saying that he admired how she played a “super awesome scientist” on The Big Bang Theory and was impressed to find out that she was a scientist with a doctorate in real life. The contestant then sweetly remarked that Bialik hasn’t aged a day, to which she thanked him.
Twitter users were charmed by the exchange, with many calling it cute. Oxman, who is currently a senior at the University of Maryland and is originally from South Orange, New Jersey, previously competed in the 2018 Teen Tournament, where he finished as a quarterfinalist. During his appearance in the High School Reunion Tournament, he competed alongside Eesha Sohail and Tim Cho.
Unfortunately for Oxman, he finished in third place with only $1,662 after both Sohail and Cho answered the Final Jeopardy question correctly. The final clue was related to the Civil Rights Act, which a radical Republican championed in 1875 but was struck down by the Supreme Court in 1883.
