Mary Fitzgerald and Romain Bonnet spared no expense during their ultra-luxurious honeymoon in Bali.
After having to postpone their holiday for four years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and work-related concerns, the “Selling Sunset” cast eventually arrived to the island in Indonesia on December 26.
They stayed for six nights at Viceroy Bali in an upscale villa with rain showers, a heated infinity pool, and traditional outdoor balé seats.
The couple also rang in 2023 at the hotel, where they had an extravagant eight-course supper accompanied by wine, drinks, and a fire dance.
Fitzgerald, 42, and Bonnet, 29, then journeyed to the town of Ubud, where they visited the Sacred Monkey Forest Refuge and an Elephant rescue sanctuary, where animals are being rehabilitated after escaping violent circumstances.
The pair also drove ATVs around Ubud’s rice fields and towns on a guided tour and swam at Tirta Empul, a holy spring-fed water temple.
The pair, who are ending their honeymoon at Hidden Hills Villas Bali, also enjoyed massages, gourmet meals, swimming and sunbathing in their villa and Bali water, and peaceful massages.
The couple’s honeymoon was delayed for four years due to COVID and work-related concerns.
“Most importantly, they’re enjoying falling deeper in love with each other,” a source tells Page Six. After filming an exciting, thrilling, and dramatic new season, this vacation was exactly what they needed to rejuvenate and begin 2023 anew.
Bonnet and Fitzgerald wed in a private civil ceremony on March 9, 2018, more than a year and a half before their televised Netflix wedding. Fitzgerald’s divorce was finalized on November 6, 2017 – only four months prior to her and Bonnet’s court appearance.
“Most importantly, they’re enjoying falling deeper in love with each other,” a source tells Page Six.
A representative for the pair told us at the time, “Mary and Romain had a civil union a few months before the show began filming in June 2018, but they chose not to tell any of their friends or family because they were unsure if their relationship would work out in the long run.”
“In their minds, they were not legally wed until the wedding that was filmed on the show.”
