The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has voiced its disapproval of Asari Dokubo’s recent statements targeting its leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who is presently detained by the Department of State Service (DSS) on charges of alleged treason.

In response to Dokubo’s harsh words against the Igbo people and their leader, IPOB accuses him of contributing to the destruction of the Igbo community and the unfair persecution of its youth.

Accusations against Asari Dokubo’s Involvement in Ebubeagu Operations:

IPOB alleges that Asari Dokubo has provided personnel to the controversial Ebubeagu operations in Imo State.

This claim is based on a recent interview in which Dokubo himself confirmed his involvement in security operations in various states, including Imo and Kaduna.

IPOB believes that Dokubo’s statement serves as evidence of his alleged role in mass abductions and killings within these regions.

Responsibility for Killings and Extrajudicial Executions:

According to IPOB spokesman Emma Powerful, it is imperative to hold Asari Dokubo accountable for the ongoing mass killings in Imo State, Anambra State, and Southern Kaduna.

He further asserts that Dokubo, whom they describe as a Fulani-trained Islamic jihadist, should be held responsible for the extrajudicial executions of innocent citizens.

IPOB claims to have interviewed numerous victims and eyewitnesses who identified the alleged perpetrators as members of the Ebubeagu militia working in conjunction with Nigerian security officials in Imo State.

They assert that many of these individuals are imported terrorists recruited and funded by Asari Dokubo and the Imo State Government.

Asari Dokubo’s Betrayal and Involvement in Assassination Plot:

IPOB recounts a previous incident where Asari Dokubo was entrusted with training IPOB volunteers after receiving a sum of N20 million from Mazi Nnamdi Kanu while he was in prison in 2015.

Instead of fulfilling his promise, Dokubo allegedly colluded with the DSS to arrest many of the volunteers, resulting in substantial costs for IPOB to secure their release.

This incident led Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB to conclude that Dokubo was an infiltrator working for the DSS.

Additionally, IPOB claims that Dokubo and his associates betrayed Mazi Nnamdi Kanu by providing information to the Nigerian military, who subsequently attempted to assassinate him at his residence in Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku Umuahia.

However, Kanu managed to escape with divine intervention.

Dokubo’s Character and Nigeria’s Persecution:

IPOB contrasts the character and integrity of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu with Asari Dokubo, labeling the latter as someone who speaks from both sides of his mouth.

They highlight that Kanu is an intellectual whose reputation remains untarnished, unlike Dokubo, who is accused of destroying national assets, engaging in oil racketeering, and being associated with militants and treasury looters.

IPOB criticizes Nigeria for rewarding criminals while persecuting the innocent.

Conclusion:

IPOB concludes by stating that they await Asari Dokubo’s self-destruction, which they claim he has already initiated with his recent interview in Abuja.

They believe Dokubo’s hatred for the Igbo people and his attempts to sabotage IPOB and Mazi Nnamdi Kanu will ultimately lead him to the same dishonorable fate as Ken Saro Wiwa, ending up in the same belly of his sponsors.
