A faction of the Ohanaeze Ndigbo socio-cultural organization has expressed its disagreement with the call made by former militant leader Asari Dokubo, urging the presidency not to release Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), from the custody of the Department of State Service (DSS).

The faction’s Secretary-General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro, lamented that the continuous detention of Kanu was causing destabilization and adversely affecting the economy of the Southeast region.
