A 28-year-old Israeli TikTok celebrity who gained fame for posting videos mocking his weight problems has died.
Idan Ohayon, who had over 140,000 TikTok followers, passed away on Tuesday evening at the Barzilai Medical Center in the coastal city of Ashkelon.
Without additional explanation, Ohayon’s family stated that a medical ailment was the cause of his death.

Ohayan’s massive TikTok following, along with his 52,000 Instagram followers and thousands of YouTube subscribers, make him a well-known influencer in Israel.
On Ohayon’s Instagram profile, a follower said, “I’ve known you since you joined the network; I’ll miss you, dear friend.”
On Wednesday, his funeral took place in the Israeli city of Kiryat Gat.

A few months ago, Ohayon, who is survived by his mother, brother, and sister, was cast on the documentary-reality show The Creatoks.
He was scheduled to compete on the show against other influencers for the title of Israel’s finest content creator.
Ohayon stated to Israeli media a few months ago that he had taken a sabbatical from social media; nevertheless, upon his return, he produced a series of videos on TikTok and gained thousands of followers.
Ohayon told Ynet, “One day I decided to return to social media, so I updated a Tiktok video.”
“I got 300,000 views in 24 hours all of a sudden, so I posted another video and another one, and the views continued to pour in.”
It was cool that I returned to my previous life and earned a large number of fans. People even begged for selfies as I walked down the street because they recognized me.
