Retired three-star Army general was suspended from a $92 hour mentoring job for mocking a recent tweet Jill Biden

A retired three-star Army general was suspended from his position as a high-paying mentor after mocking Jill Biden’s recent tweet on the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade.

Lieutenant General Gary Volesky responded on Twitter on Friday, writing, “Glad to see you finally know what a woman is.”

The tweet has since been deleted, but it looked to make reference to recent discussions around transgender rights and gender-neutral terminology.

The retired army general’s premium $92 hour mentoring position may have been lost as the Army undertakes its own internal investigation as a result of the disrespectful statement.

Less than 30 minutes after the First Lady tweeted her shock at the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn a woman’s constitutional right to an abortion, which has been in place since 1973, Volesky made his condescending remark.

‘For nearly 50 years, women have had the right to make their own decisions about their bodies,’ Jill Biden said.

‘Today that right was stolen from us.’

‘And while we maybe devastated by this injustice, we will not be silent. We will not sit back as the progress we have already won slips away.’

A US Army spokesperson told Fox News: ‘Lt. Gen. Theodore Martin, commanding general of the Combined Arms Center, has suspended retired Lt. Gen. Gary Volesky from performing duties as a Highly Qualified Expert — Senior Mentor pending the outcome of the commander’s inquiry.’

Conservatives and Democrats have engaged in a culture war over the definition of the word “woman,” with both sides avoiding answering the question out of concern for upsetting woke pro-trans mobs.

Many progressives have started referring to persons as being “pregnant,” “menstruating,” and even “uterus-havers.”

According to them, the phrases are intended to cover non-binary individuals and transgender men, neither of whom are female.

However, critics claim that the phrase ignores women, a population that has long been oppressed and has fought for equal rights.

The issue was posed by Tennessee Republican Senator Marsha Blackburn during Ketanji Brown Jackson’s Supreme Court confirmation hearings in March, and Jackson responded that she was “not a biologist,” according to a prior story from The Washington Post.

Regarding women’s sports, the meaning of the word “woman” has become a contentious topic.

Since her husband was confirmed as president, First Lady Biden has mainly avoided gaffes and scandals and has not said what she believes the definition of a woman to be.

Before his retirement from the Army in 2020, Volesky, who received a silver star for valour while fighting in Iraq, oversaw the 101st Airborne Division.

The offensive remark got the retired army general into some hot water, and may even cost him his cushy $92 hour mentoring role as the Army conducts its own internal investigation.
