Jill Biden arrives ahead of President Joe Biden in Spain for the NATO meeting and kicked off her trip with a visit with Spanish Queen Letizia

Jill Biden traveled to Spain for the NATO meeting before President Joe Biden did, and she began her journey by paying a visit to Spanish Queen Letizia.

She also took a companion to Madrid.

When they took a seat at Palacio de la Zarzuela, the first lady informed the Queen, “I brought my two granddaughters.” We remained up late and drank some wine.

Having already arrived in Spain, Finnegan Biden met up with her grandmother. Jill Biden brought Maisy on her trip to Spain.

She did not attend the functions on Monday with the girls. They were at the American embassy, Jill Biden informed Letizia.

As soon as they met, the two women hugged and exchanged warm greetings.

Jill Biden sported a crimson skirt suit with gold jacket buttons. Letizia donned a dress with black and white polka dots on it.

The Spanish Association Against Cancer was also visited by her and Letizia. Since the Bidens’ son Beau passed away from brain cancer in 2015, the first lady has been actively involved in the fight against cancer.

As they met with researchers and took a tour of the facility, both women were covered up.

Jill Biden flew into Spain on Sunday evening and will stay there until Wednesday.

President Biden arrives on Tuesday afternoon; she arrived earlier. At the G7 summit in Germany, the president is present.

That part of the trip, which included a stroll the spouses made around Lake Ferchensee, including Brigitte Macron of France and Carrie Johnson of the United Kingdom, was skipped by Jill Biden.

Tuesday will see her traveling with Queen Letizia to a center for Ukrainian refugees.

The next evening, they will attend an official supper with their spouses, President Biden and King Felipe VI.
