ICU nurse is freed on bond after killing six, including pregnant lady, unborn child, and 1-year-old

The ICU nurse who murdered six people in a catastrophic 100 mph collision, including a pregnant woman, her unborn child, and her one-year-old son, has been discharged from the hospital and is now being detained on a $9 million bail.

After being freed from medical supervision on Sunday, Nicole L. Linton, a 37-year-old nurse from Texas who works in Los Angeles, is being detained at the Century Regional Detention Center in Lynwood, California.

At the Clara Shortridge Foltz Criminal Justice Center on Monday, the Los Angeles County District Attorney is anticipated to file charges against her.

Asherey Ryan, 23, who was eight months pregnant, her one-year-old son Alonzo Luchiano Quintero, and her unborn son were all declared dead at the site of the terrible accident.

Those close to the family reported that Renald, the father of the unborn child, died in the collision as well as the automobile split in two instantly on contact.

Asherey, Renald, and young Alonzo were headed to the doctor for a prenatal checkup when the allegedly intoxicated driver slammed into the vehicle they were riding in.

A witness to the collision, Tabia Johnson, captured Linton sitting down on a nearby sidewalk after the collision, with the smouldering wreckage in the backdrop.

Linton looked to have only had minor wounds, including blood close to the head, according to Johnson, who criticised the woman’s driving.

Linton is helping the authorities go at her bloodwork to see if she was under the influence when the deadly crash occurred.

Awe-inspiring footage of the collision shows cars racing down the street and catching fire before coming to a rest in a twisted wreck only steps from rows of extremely combustible pumping stations.

A woman who described herself as Linton’s friend said that before getting in her vehicle and slamming into a traffic bottleneck, she was “drunk” and “fighting with her boyfriend.”

On Thursday afternoon, a heartbreaking tragic pileup occurred between South La Brea Avenue and Slauson Avenue.

Following the catastrophic collision at 1:40 pm on Friday, eight individuals were left pleading for their lives while suffering terrible injuries.

Six of those hurt were teenagers, and one of them had serious wounds. One of them hospitalised with injuries is the driver.

Asherey Ryan’s death was verified and reported by the LA County Medical Examiner-Coroner, along with the unborn “Baby Boy Ryan.”

Following the tragic crash, tributes have flooded in for Asherey, who is said to have been eight months pregnant, and her unborn child.

In a posting on Instagram about the event, Asherey’s sister, Seana, expressed her shock and sorrow over the death of her brother-in-law and spoke out against the driver.

Seana stated after seeing recordings of the collision, “We’re searching for legal counsel since this doesn’t make any sense.”

“My sister, my nephew, my brother-in-law, and my son’s only cousin were taken by her.” We are really wounded. In addition to the unborn child, she continued, “We have to bury four people.

“I don’t have any words rn [right now] I’m too much in pain because this is something I never expected no one did.

going to miss you both and I didn’t get to say goodbye or make up for time lost with you Alonzo my heart is aching may y’all rest in piece [peace] god has gained two amazing angels,” Alonzo’s father Luis Fernando Quintero wrote online.

After the terrible experience, the family started a GoFundMe to aid with funeral expenses.

Witness Veronica Esquival said that during the tragic collision, which was caused by the female driver, who was travelling alone in the vehicle, she was pumping gas when suddenly pieces of debris began flying through the air.

She said that a newborn had tragically fallen to the ground in the centre of the petrol station before terrified employees attempted to save the infant.

“I was ready to fill up with gas when all of a sudden, I hear all of the sounds from all of the crashes, followed by the fire explosion and I saw objects, metal and everything flying in the air,” she said. I thus simply hid behind the pump.

A baby suddenly soared from the centre of the intersection to the centre of the gas station and landed just in front of me on the ground.

“One of the staff members rushed up and snatched the baby out of my hands when they noticed me holding it. The infant was dead despite attempts at resuscitation.

One lady, who identifies herself as the Mercedes driver’s acquaintance, said that she thought the driver had consumed alcohol before to the fatal collision because of an altercation she had with her boyfriend.

Officials verified that Linton was riding alone.

She told KTLA that since she had been drinking, “she shot right past the red light without realising it was a red light.”

Alphonso Word, another grieving witness, who was just a few vehicles from the crossing when the tragedy occurred, said that the collision sounded “like a bomb.”

He said that the woman, who was carrying the infant, was “ejected from the roadway” and “landed over to the side.”

Devastating pictures show burned-out cars left behind after firemen put out the massive fires brought on by the collision, which led it to seem as if “the entire crossroads was on fire.”

The disturbing video begins as the Mercedes coupe accelerates past the petrol pumps from a gas station viewing the incident.

While bearing down on traffic moving in both directions across the congested junction, the fateful car fails to brake.

It smacks into the first vehicle, which instantly catches fire, then ploughs into several more as they spin in response to the tremendous impact.

Before coming to a halt in a twisted tangle, the collision sends them all racing into another petrol station across the intersection.

Just before the second petrol station across the street, which is regarded as an architectural landmark, the jam came to a standstill.

Images depict burned-out, twisted cars strewn across the roadway in what the California Highway Patrol characterised as appearing “like a battle zone.”

When Debra Jackson was putting gas in her automobile, she heard a loud explosion and saw flames covering the whole vehicle, according to CBSLA. I believed that my automobile was on fire.

According to Franco Pepi, spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol, “at least six or seven” automobiles were involved, and three of them caught fire.

“Just unknown causes for the high speed at this moment,” he said. Because crashes occur often and this is one of the worst examples of how catastrophic they may be, everyone should drive with more caution.
