Harry misses “his bizarre family reunions”

In his and Meghan’s shocking Netflix documentary, Prince Harry said that he missed the UK and “strange family reunions.”

In the third and last of the three episodes that were made available this morning, the Duke of Sussex spoke.

When asked what he missed most about working with the royal family, he said, “I miss the bizarre family reunions, when we are all kind of brought together under one roof at specific periods of the year.”

“Being part of the institution meant I was in the UK,” he said. Therefore, I miss the UK and my buddies, and I’ve also lost a few friends, he says.

In 2020, he and Meghan retired from their roles as working royals and purchased a $14 million house in Montecito, California.

Additionally, Harry said that he and Meghan moved to the US because he had “outgrown” the UK.

He continued by saying that his late mother, who perished in a vehicle accident in Paris in 1997, would have most likely opted to settle down in California.

He said: “I came here because I was transformed,” while he was still driving. I evolved to the point that I outgrew my surroundings.

Consequently, it was the most apparent choice to arrive here. This is one of the locations where I believe my mother would eventually settle.

During their time in the UK, Harry and Meghan attended family gatherings, including as the annual royal Christmas Day church service at Sandringham, Norfolk, in 2017.

Alongside Prince William and Kate, the Princess of Wales, they were seen grinning.

The third episode of the Netflix series, which debuted last week, included a memory of that year’s Christmas, in which Meghan described it as “wonderful.”

I very clearly recall our first Christmas at Sandringham, Meghan said. When I call my mother, she asks, “How’s it going?” Oh my word, it’s great, I said.

She said, “It’s simply like a huge family like I always wanted.” And there was just continuous motion, energy, and enjoyment.

Another joyful occasion was when Meghan’s mother Doria Ragland was seen with the Queen and Prince Philip greeting Archie soon after his birth.

During the repercussions from their “truth bomb” interview with Oprah Winfrey, Prince Harry exchanged a text from his brother Prince William with his wife, which is also revealed in the last episode of Harry and Meghan’s Netflix documentary.

In video taken in the days after the shocking conversation with Winfrey in March of last year, Harry is shown displaying his phone to his wife before Meghan remarks, “Wow, H just received a text from his brother.”

Harry claims that the Palace is engaging in “institutional gaslighting” earlier in the episode and compares his and Meghan’s situation to that of his mother, Princess Diana.

When they are flying from Canada to Los Angeles in March 2020, after they have broken away from the royal family, the Duke of Sussex states in a video selfie, “We are on the freedom flight,” the episode begins.
