Guy with Joker tattoos reportedly abducted four children

A guy accused of kidnapping four children has facial tattoos depicting the Joker.

Joshua Carter, 28, is suspected of removing the kids from their Queensland house at The Leap, north of Mackay, on August 11, prompting police to issue an amber warning.

All three of the girls and boy, who are under ten years old, are said to have been taken in a white 2005 Nissan Patrol 4WD before being delivered “safe and healthy” the next morning.

On Tuesday, Carter was accused of violating a domestic violence order twice and was also reportedly in possession of cocaine and related items.

Even though the police investigation is still ongoing, he is scheduled to appear in Mackay Magistrates Court on Wednesday.

In the days after the recovery of the kids, police continued to search for Carter and issued pictures of him along with a description of his tattoos.

One on his cheek asks, “Why so serious?” in reference to the Joker’s catchphrase from the Batman villain’s 2008 film The Dark Knight.

Along his neck is a tattoo depicting the fictitious character’s face.
