The alleged victim said the group of between five and eight Belgian men, believed to be aged between 30 and 35 years old, then took her and her friends back to their hotel room in Faliraki

Sunday morning, a British woman said that she and her friends encountered a group of up to eight Belgians at a nightclub in the beach village of Faliraki.

The claimed victim stated that the men had returned her and her companions to the hotel.
She alleged the group of males ambushed her in the hotel room and gang-raped her.

The friend of a British lady who claims she was gang-raped in a Greek hotel left in tears moments before the alleged crime, according to hotel workers.

Two British ladies and four Belgian men arrived at the Hotel Mon Repos in Faliraki, on the Greek island of Rhodes, shortly after 3 a.m. on Sunday, according to workers. The group then proceeded to a room on the second floor.

The owner of the hotel, Efthymios Kovaios, reported that one of the women returned shortly thereafter, crying and claiming that one of the males attempted to kiss her.

Mr. Kovaios stated that the woman departed the hotel, leaving her 31-year-old friend alone with the guys for approximately 40 minutes, which is when the alleged assault occurred.

Mr. Kovaios stated that a member of staff had gone to the room in question after the first woman had left and knocked on the door to ensure that everything was in order.

But ‘everything appeared to be in order,’ Mr. Kovaios said, so the employee left.

Mr. Kovaios reported that a short time later, the second woman exited and boarded a cab to return to her hotel, with no signs of discomfort.

Since then, she has informed authorities that she had consensual sex with one of the group’s males on the hotel balcony and in her room.

She stated that her friend left the room at this time.

At some point after her companion left, she guessed that between five and eight guys between the ages of thirty and thirty-five got involved.

The claimed victim stated that the group of five to eight Belgian men, thought to be between 30 and 35 years old, drove her and her companions back to their Faliraki hotel room.

She told police that this was nonconsensual sexual activity that constituted group rape.

The woman told the authorities that she escaped the hotel and grabbed a cab back to her own hotel.

She reported the alleged gang rape to authorities at 7:00 a.m. local time on Monday.

The police initiated an inquiry and have subsequently arrested four unnamed Belgian suspects.

The British woman has named the four guys as the suspected perpetrators of her rape.

The four guys have provided DNA samples to investigators.

Mr. Kovaios stated that he has also provided detectives with CCTV footage from the hotel, which he claims shows the woman kissing one of her accused attackers.

“Everything was normal, and they both appeared content. ‘After a passionate kiss, she took a cab and left,’ he alleged.
