Fetty Wap arrested after threatening someone over Facetime

According to the US Attorney’s office, Silk City musician Fetty Wap was detained on Monday for reportedly threatening to murder a guy and calling him a “rat” through FaceTime.

According to federal authorities, Willie Junior Maxwell II, better known as Fetty Wap, flashed a pistol on the call and threatened, “Imma murder you and everyone you with.” The authorities also displayed images of the rapper, who is claimed to be worth $10 million, brandishing his pistol during the phone conversation in December 2021. According to authorities, when the guy labeled the rapper a rat, he reacted by stating, ‘Your man is a rat.’

Maxwell was previously freed on a $500,000 personal recognizance bail after his arrest in October 2021 for his suspected role in Long Island heroin trafficking.

According to the affidavit, the rapper shouted, ‘Imma murder you and everyone you’re with,’ before reiterating, ‘I’m going to kill you.’

According to an FBI agent, this was a “clear violation of both state law and the condition of his parole.”

Fetty Wap was expected to appear in federal court in Central Islip on Monday afternoon. It is unclear if his bail would be revoked until his trial.

The star’s December call occurred roughly a month after he was arrested at the Rolling Loud Festival at Citi Field in Flushing, Queens for being involved in a multi-million dollar bicoastal heroin and fentanyl conspiracy.

The FBI recovered $1.5 million in cash, as well as stacks of crushed cocaine and bags of heroin and fentanyl that the rapper and five others – including a New Jersey correctional officer – were selling throughout Long Island and New Jersey, according to the FBI.

Fetty has been sued several times for infringement of intellectual property, slander, and violence. After being found drag racing on a Brooklyn highway, he was jailed in 2017 for drunk driving, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and reckless endangerment.

As part of the coast-to-coast investigation, he was charged with his first federal narcotics offenses. The officials believe that the gang would acquire cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl in California and then ship or drive it across the nation in cars with secret compartments.

According to a federal lawsuit, Fetty Wap supplemented his recording artist revenue with ‘kilo-level’ narcotics sales.
