Fatal Collision Involving Car and Motorbikes on A468 near Bedwas
One person has died and another has been hospitalized following a collision between a car and two motorbikes.
The incident occurred on Friday evening at approximately 5:50 pm on the A468 near Bedwas.
The Gwent Police, along with the Wales Air Ambulance and Welsh Ambulance Service, responded to the scene.
Fatality and Hospitalization
According to a spokesperson from the Gwent Police, the collision involved two motorcycles and a car.
Sadly, a 58-year-old man from Caerphilly was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
His next of kin have been notified and are receiving support from specialized officers.
In addition, a 70-year-old man from the Caerphilly area was transported to the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff for medical treatment.
Appeal for Witnesses and Footage
The police are currently investigating the incident and are appealing for any motorists who were traveling on the A468 between the Cedar Tree roundabout and Bedwas during the time frame of 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm on Friday, July 7.
They are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who may have witnessed the collision or have any relevant information.
