Biannca Edmunds, 36, was found guilty of murdering her ex-boyfriend Michael Caposiena by a 12-person jury in Victoria’s Supreme Court on Saturday.

The jury determined that Edmunds had instructed her new spouse Glen Cassidy to murder her old boyfriend in March 2016 and had fabricated text messages to provide an alibi.

Edmunds denied any involvement in the murder and maintained that Cassidy acted alone.

She sent herself multiple text messages from Cassidy’s phone in order to build a false alibi, including the following: “I’m about to do something you would consider extremely f***ing foolish” and “If I get caught, I want them to know you had nothing to do with this.”

She responded over her own phone, “Don’t be so bloody foolish.”The trial heard Edmunds and her former partner Michael Caposiena (pictured) had son together and that she longed to spend more time with the little boy

Biannca Edmunds (left) was found guilty of murder for instructing her husband Glen Cassidy (right) to murder her ex-lover Michael Caposiena at his home in the southwest of Melbourne in 2016.

The court heard that Edmunds and her ex-partner Michael Caposiena (pictured) had a son together, and that Edmunds desired to spend more time with the child.

It was Edmunds’ second trial of the year, after the first jury in June failed to reach a decision.

The retrial revealed that Edmunds and Caposiena had a kid together, but that she yearned to spend more time with him after being gone for his first two years of existence.

Witnesses at the second trial included Ellen Edmunds, Biannca's mother, who told the court her daughter stated on numerous occasions she wanted Mr Caposiena out of her and her son's life (pictured Biannca Edmunds awaits to be interviewed by police for the first time in 2016)

Prosecutor Neill Hutton asserted that Edmunds coerced her husband to conduct the murder and devised a plan to ambush Mr. Caposiena at his residence.

The Herald Sun adds that Mr. Hutton said Edmunds would use promises of “kinky sex” to influence her husband, who was 20 years her senior.

“There is evidence that when she was having sex with Mr. Cassidy, she told others that she would not allow him to orgasm until he pledged to kill Michael,” he added.Pictured is the text Edmunds sent herself from Cassidy's phone to supply her with an alibi

The pair even drew a map of the surrounding neighborhood, noting the locations of security cameras, street lights, and barking dogs.

In addition, the court heard a series of phone calls taped by Cassidy prior to the murder in which the couple appears to speak in code.

During one call, Cassidy can be heard stating, “I am utterly over this job.”On March 12, 2016, Cassidy ambushed Caposiena at his West Meadows home, north of Melbourne as he answered the door. However, Caposiena was alerted by his partner to Cassidy before he answered the door and managed to stab Cassidy with a knife before he was fatally shot in the head (pictured is the scene of the botched assassination)

Well, just complete it, Edmunds responded.

Cassidy said, “I am trying.”

“Complete this task and move on. Edmunds told Cassidy, “May the future be better”

We need less stress in our lives, and I’m dreading having to visit Legal Aid… I’m exhausted by it.

Edmunds texted herself multiple text messages from Cassidy’s phone to fabricate a false alibi.

The police asserted that Cassidy would urge his two-week-old wife for sex and that she was led to believe this would only occur once the hit was carried out.

On March 3, 2016, Cassidy asked her, “Can we have sexual activity tomorrow night?”

“I am not sure. That depends on whether or not we are celebrating,’ Edmunds replied.

On March 12, 2016, as Caposiena answered the door at his Westmeadows, Melbourne, home, Cassidy ambushed him.

Caposiena managed to stab Cassidy with a knife before he was tragically shot in the head when his partner informed him to the intruder outside his door.

Cassidy bled to death at the site of the botched assassination attempt.

The court heard that Edmunds was in Shepparton on the day her ex-lover was murdered, and she was dissatisfied that her husband had not carried out the hit while she was in Darwin.

Ellen Edmunds, Biannca’s mother, testified at the second trial that her daughter had often stated that she wanted Mr. Caposiena out of her and her son’s lives.

Cassidy’s friend Paul Bonner said that she called her husband’spineless,’ ‘p***-weak,’ and a ‘coward,’ as well as telling him, ‘If you were a true man, you’d take care of it.’

Edmunds will be sentenced by Justice Lex Lasry at a later date.
