Illinois police claim that former MTV star Connor Smith attempted to engage in sexual activity with a minor under the age of 15.
The Lake County Sheriff’s Office issued an arrest warrant for the MTV “Are You The One?” actor after he communicated online for “several weeks” with an undercover officer posing as a juvenile.
According to authorities, Smith, 32, emailed obscene films and photographs of himself before to arranging a sexual encounter.
According to the press statement, the reality star drove to see the youngster on February 9 but was detained by investigators before fleeing in his vehicle.
Smith is charged with three felonies, including travel to meet a juvenile, grooming, and dissemination of dangerous material.
According to police, Smith has not yet surrendered as of Thursday morning. Following his arrest, a court authorized a $1 million bond.

This is hardly Smith’s first encounter with the law.
The controversial reality star was reportedly arrested in 2021 for raping and assaulting a 16-year-old girl.
According to TMZ, the alleged crime began when the kid claimed she gave someone her address after discovering they were selling a cat via Snapchat.

She then claimed that a guy “ripped open her bedroom window screen, dragged her from the room, threw her into his truck, and drove to a motel while sexually assaulting her.”
But, she eventually admitted to having met the alleged attacker on a dating app, according to the news source. She stated that she intentionally snuck out to meet him.
She stated that she was forced to have oral sex on the man when he drove them to the motel while they were in his truck. She claimed he repeatedly struck and choked her, urinated on her in the motel room, and compelled oral sex.
She reported that the man returned to her residence and stated he would come the next day, but her family members waited for him on the front lawn and scared him away when he arrived.
In 2015, Smith starred on Season 3 of “Are You the One?,” a show in which single individuals battled to find their ideal partner.
