Divers are searching for the remaining body parts of Abby Choi, a 28-year-old model who was brutally dismembered and her corpse was found in a fridge.
Choi’s ex-husband was reportedly “trying to abscond” and was arrested with £60,000 in cash and a number of luxury watches at the Tung Chung Development Pier.
His parents and elder brother were also arrested after Choi’s legs were found in soup pots at a Lung Mei Tsuen home. The underwater search was conducted to find the remaining body parts, but the head, torso, and hands have not been found yet.
The possibility of further arrests has not been ruled out. Police suspected that someone was dissatisfied with how Choi handled her assets, and that became the motive to kill her.
Equipment such as a meat grinder, choppers, a hammer, and an electric saw were discovered in the home where her corpse was found. The cause of Choi’s death will be confirmed after a post-mortem examination.
