Eight Eastern Cape birthday celebrants shot dead

Eight individuals were brutally murdered at a birthday party in Kwazakele, Eastern Cape, on Sunday night.

Three more were shot.

Police stated two unknown gunmen entered the yard and started shooting at guests celebrating the property owner’s birthday.

“Seven people—three females and four males—died and four others—two females and two males—received gunshot wounds and were hospitalized.

One person died in hospital, bringing the total to eight. Police stated that the house owner died.
