e.tv has denied rumors that its late-night vulgar drama “The Black Door” has been canceled.
The adult drama debuted on television in April, and since then, each episode has generated considerable buzz. This mature drama defied expectations, ushering in a new age of late-night television.
“The Black Door” ranked in the top five most watched programs on the channel in July, with 2,557,437 viewers.
Phil Mphela, a critic on the entertainment industry, reported that “The Black Door” had been canceled and would not be renewed for a second season.

The report stated, “With an audience share of 37.4% for its timeslot and just under 2.6 million viewers at its peak, the show was not a flop.”
However, e.tv assured IOL Entertainment that “everything is okay with ‘The Black Door’” and that they were unaware of any cancellation rumors.
The superb ensemble of “The Black Door” includes legends such as Linda Sebenzo and well-known faces such as Zodwa Wabantu and Mohale Motaung, as well as novices.
The performances are mesmerizing, emotive, and provocative, and have the ability to transport you to a place you cannot ever begin to conceive, leaving you wanting more.
Sthembiso “SK” Khoza, Mzansi’s favorite bad boy, joined the cast of “The Black Door” in recent weeks. The former “The Queen” actor replaced his brother Abdul Khoza in the production after scheduling conflicts forced Abdul to leave.
Monday through Friday at 9.30pm on e.tv (DStv channel 194), “The Black Door” is broadcast.
